Library Chinese concert

The Classical Kaleidoscope Concert series will open its fifth season on Wednesday, October 21, at the new start time of 7:15 p.m. at the Arcadia Public Library, 20 W. Duarte Rd.

Don’t miss Zhiming Han and Cynthia Hsiang’s “Celebrating Chinese Music,” a free family concert designed for families with children, six and older.

The Chinese Classical Music Ensemble, featuring acclaimed musicians Zhiming Han and Cynthia Hsiang, will perform on native instruments including the dizi (bamboo flute), yangqin (butterfly harp), and guzheng (long zither). Mr. Han and Ms. Hsiang have been featured on national PBS broadcasts and in many movies.

KaleidoscopeCropFollowing the program you are cordially invited to meet and speak with the musicians. Coffee, provided courtesy of Starbucks, and light refreshments will be served. Funded by the Arcadia Public Library Foundation, the concert is free and no reservations are necessary.
