Dan Stremel’s family takes great joy in setting up residence each fall in the vacant lot next to the church on the north side of Foothill Boulevard just west of Santa Anita.
It’s there that the Stremels, who run the business in their spare time with another local family, set up and run a family-friendly spooky entertainment area and sell pumpkins in October under the name Uncle Buck’s Pumpkin Patch.
After Hallowe’en the pumpkins are removed and replaced with Christmas trees through November and December.
Watch this video below and then take the family to go visit “Uncle Buck” in person. Hours are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. weekedays and they stay open till 10 p.m. or later on weekends.
Dan doesn’t even care if you don’t buy anything — just bring the kids and have a good time.
