How McSweeny it is!

How appropirate that just a few days before Thanksgiving, the Arcadia Chapter of the American Red Cross showed how thankful the organization is for the kindness of Matt Denny’s owner Matt McSweeny by honoring him as a hometown hero at its 8th annual Monte Carlo night fund-raiser on Nov. 21.

It was also a chance for city leaders as well as the police department (Chief Sanderson) and the community at large, to express their thanks to Matt’s enormous generosity to myriad charities and his Holy Angels church by supporting the event and Matt.

The feeling was mutual as Matt offered a typically humble thank you to his wife, parents, family, many friends, and the people and the City of Arcadia.

But, of course, the evening was also about fun and frivolity with three hours of eating, gambling with play money, and socializing before the presentation to Matt in the Chandelier Room of Santa Anita Park.
