A Princess, a King and a Queen

Rose Queen Natalie Innocenzi, 17, of Arcadia and her court are quite busy these days.
By the time they ride on a float in the Rose Parade and make an appearance at the Rose Bowl game on Jan. 1, they will have made 163 public appearances over a three-month period, provided all goes as planned.

They made one of those stops on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Southern California Sports Broadcasters’ monthly luncheon at Lakeside Golf Club in Toluca Lake, where they were introduced by the organization’s president, Bob Miller, the longtime television announcer for the Los Angeles Kings.

Queen Natalie, a senior at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, told the audience she plans to study occupational or physical therapy with an emphasis on gerontology at either USC or the University of Redlands.
Natalie, who attended Highland Oaks Elementary School and Foothills Middle School, is the daughter of Robert and Jeannette Innocenzi. She has one sibling, 14-year-old Kevin.

Natalie’s court includes Princess June Ko, 17, a senior at Arcadia High who also attended Highland Oaks and Foothills. June, a key member of the Apache News team at Arcadia High, plans to study broadcast journalism at USC. Her parents are Chan and Hye Ko and she has a sister, Diane, 22.
