The Arcadia Police were called to the parking lot of the Westfield Santa Anita shopping mall at about 11:30 p.m. last night (Sunday, Feb. 7) on the report of a fight in progress.
Upon arrival, the fight in the “P” parking lot on southeast side of the mall was over and one young adult male Hispanic victim had been seriously injured. The victim had a cut to his face and several stab wounds to the upper torso.
He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He is listed in stable condition.
Arcadia Police officers arrested 20-year-old Andy Poon from El Monte and 19-year-old Bryan Lam from Temple City in connection with the assault. Both Asian men are charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon and are being held at the Arcadia Police Jail. Bail is set at $30,000.
Cause of the fight is under investigation, though it does not appear to have been a robbery or gang-related.
