Good Shepherd political forum

Sunday’s Forum at The Church of the Good Shepherd Forum (Jordan Hall) from 9 a.m. – 10 a..m on May 23 will focus on the June ballot measures.

The line-up:

  • Mike Johnson – Proposition 13 – Limits on Property Tax Assessment. Seismic Retrofitting of Existing Buildings. Legislative Constitutional Amendment.
  • Gary Kovacic – Proposition 14 – Elections. Increases Right to Participate In Primary Elections.
  • Gary Kovacic – Proposition 15 – California Fair Elections Act.
  • Craig Lucas – Proposition 16 – Imposes New Two-Thirds Voter Approval Requirement For Local Public Electricity Providers. Initiative Constitutional Amendment.
  • Bob Green – Proposition 17 – Allows Auto Insurance Companies To Base Their Prices In Part On A Driver’s History Of Insurance Coverage. Initiative Statute.

    Great idea but prefer for it to be in the evening so as to not make people choose between attending religious services or hearing such relevant information. Hopefully Arcadia’s Best will do a write-up on what will be discussed.
