Free Tote Bag Aug. 5

As part of Arcadia‘s “Shop Arcadia” campaign, guests at the August 5 Arcadia Summer Concert who bring $20 worth of receipts for purchases made within the City of Arcadia in July or August can receive a free, high quality reusable tote bag, while supplies last.

The tote bag promotion follows the recent distribution by the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency of a postcard offering a 15% discount to participating downtown restaurants during the summer months.

Empowering residents to make a difference in their own community is the logic behind the City’s public education effort called Shop Arcadia, a program designed to promote the concept of shopping locally when you need to make a purchase. Local businesses keep dollars circulating in the community, they provide jobs and through sales tax they fund a significant part of the cost of City services such as police, fire and emergency medical protection; library, recreation and senior citizen programs; code enforcement; public works projects and more.
