Six of the winners of the Arcadia Historical Society’s Creative Expression Contest have been on display at Westfield Santa Anita for a couple weeks as depicted here in this 30-second video below.

The management of the mall kindly displayed these winning projects with the names of each student elegantly and prominently showcased.

These six pieces and many more of the entries will next move to the the Ruth and Charles Gilb Arcadia Historical Museum as part of an exhibit of most of the 55 submissions in the contest, including a notebook of all three dozen essays and poems. The works will be on display at from July 17 – August 14, with an opening reception at 2 p.m. on July 24.

Walking through the promenade, seeing the artwork was such fun! It is my hope the students realize how their artwork contributes to civic pride. They have every reason to be proud of their contribution.
