Bank robber identity sought

The Arcadia Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed the  Bank of America at 180 N. Santa Anita Ave. Tuesday afternoon. He claimed to have a gun.

This suspect pictured at right should be considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information should call 626-574-5150.

The 140-pound male Asian with brown eyes is also described as 20-30 years old, 5′ 6″ tall, with a thin mustache, goatee, and acne on his cheeks. A photo captured from the bank is at right. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black baseball cap, black frame glasses, shorts and a black t-shirt.

Police responded at about 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, on the report of a robbery having just occurred.

Preliminary investigation revealed the listed suspect entered the bank and presented a demand note for money while threatening to have a gun. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and the suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction.

This case is under investigation by detectives from the Arcadia Police Department.
