Deb Burgess, owner and operator of Adams’ Pack Station was featured on an American Public Media radio show called “The Story” this week.

Deb, a forest cabin owner who recently saved the 74-year-old Pack Station from being closed by the County Health Department this year with the help of the Arcadia Historical Society and many other generous donors who helped pay for improvements that Deb and her family and friends constructed themselves, describes the fascinating story of how she came to own and run the station, how she survived a massive forest fire and saved the donkeys, and much more.
