(Almost!) Meeting the President

President Barack Obama began a two-day visit to the Los Angeles area Wednesday (June 6) to conduct three fundraisers for his re-election campaign.

I was honored to have the privilege of volunteering for the “2012 Gala with President Barack Obama,” hosted by LGBT for Obama. It took place at The Regent Beverly Wilshire.

Hearing President Obama speak for the first time live, it was an amazing experience I could never get from watching YouTube videos or the television. The crowd’s chants of “Four more years!” and the standing ovations had an impact that I would never get from looking at a screen.
