New book on Arcadia History

Carol Libby has published a new book called Chronicles of Arcadia that is a compilation of articles written by a variety of authors published over the decades in the Caminos newsletter of the Arcadia Historical Society. It also includes new chronologies, numerous rare and previously unpublished photos, and original articles by Carol and others.

Copies of the book can be purchased for $20, with half of the marginal profit on each book being donated to the Historical Society. Books are available at the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce, 388 W. Huntington Drive, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday or Fasching’s Car Wash on Santa Anita Avenue. You may also go online to purchase the book at the Arcadia Historical Society web site (www.ArcadiaHistoricalSociety.org) or e-mail the Society at info@arcadiahistoricalsociety.org. Or you may send check or money order for $20 to the Society’s post office box: P.O. Box 661332, Arcadia, CA 91066-1332.

Possibly on Amazon.com ? Not sure how that would detract from the historical and city coffers, but Amazon.com presence might broaden the audience of potential buyers of the book.
