Gold Line passes track test; March 2016?


Testing of the recently completed tracks of the Gold Line Foothill Extension light rail line from Pasadena to Azusa have been completed with success this week, with trains tested at speeds of up to 55 mph and adjustments made so that they clear all station platforms along the route, including Arcadia. Gold Line final rail laid


The final rail of the 11.5 mile foothill extension of the Gold Line was installed in a dignitary-filled ceremony in Azusa Oct. 18. Unanimous praise was paid to the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority for completing the rail line ahead of schedule and under budget. Final day Huntington detours


Today (Monday, Aug. 11) is the fourth and final day of the complete shut down of the intersection at Huntington Drive and First Avenue, if all goes under to schedule. The intersection is scheduled to be re-opened early Tuesday morning before rush hour. Huntington Drive 4-day shut-down


Update with detour map, Aug. 4, 8:30 a.m.: Huntington Drive is scheduled to be completely closed off to all traffic at Second Avenue for four days starting this Friday, Aug. 8. And Second Avenue will be closed off entirely overnight Sundays-Thursdays for an additional six weeks thereafter.
