Fans attending the Arcadia High School homecoming football game against John Muir High School at 7 p.m. Friday night, Oct. 8th will get more than the annual gridiron competition, halftime ceremonies, and post-game fireworks.
This will be the official unveiling of the newly-renovated Salter Stadium, which includes newly-installed bleachers (home and visitors), press box, and renovated track and field. AHS principal David Vannasdall and District Superintendent Dr. Joel Shawn will make comments prior to the game.
Although there will be no homecoming parade, homecoming royalty will once again be announced during a half-time ceremony and the on-field show will be performed by the newly-crowned Los Angeles County Fair grand prize-winning marching band and color guard, which was just awarded a place in the 2012 Tournament of Rose Parade for the first time since 2008.
