Arcadia High 9/11 Tribute

“Today we honor the memories of the 403 firefighters, police officers, and paramedics who sacrificed their lives in an effort to save their fellow Americans.”

Dr. John Tung

Arcadia High School Assistant Principal

Nearly 4,000 students and staff from Arcadia High School came together today for an emotional 9/11 tribute and remembrance. The Arcadia Police and Fire Departments were also on hand to be recognized and honored, along with members of the Marine Corps and Army. In addition to a moment of silence being observed, Daniel Black, an Arcadia High School student played “Amazing Grace” on the bagpipes. The school’s’ choir also performed the national anthem, and staff members addressed the students about the history and importance of September 11th and what it means to be an American. Being such a large high school, this special 9/11 tribute is the only time each year the all of the nearly 4,000 students and staff come together at the same time and at the same place.
