Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report -Sunday, March 2nd through Saturday, March 8th

For the period of Sunday, March 2nd through Saturday, March 8th

, the Police Department responded

to 927 calls for service, of which 106 required formal investigations. The following is a summary

report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.


Sunday, March 2:

At approximately 3:52 p.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of 99 Ranch Market, located

at 1300 South Golden West Avenue, regarding a robbery investigation. The officer discovered

when the victim was seated in her car when the suspect opened the door, stole her purse from her

lap, and fled in a blue Tesla. The suspect is described as approximately 5’3”, thin build, wearing a

black hooded sweatshirt, black mask, and grey pants.


Monday, March 3:

At approximately 3:50 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Live

Oak Avenue regarding a burglary report. Sometime between 7:55 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on March

3rd, unidentified suspect(s) entered the home and fled with a stolen gaming console.


Tuesday, March 4:

At approximately 10:58 a.m., an officer responded to TT Salon, located at 168 Las Tunas Drive,

regarding a commercial burglary incident. Surveillance cameras captured a female suspect enter the location without force and steal approximately $1,000.00 worth of hair products. The suspect appears to be a former employee but the investigation is ongoing.


Wednesday, March 5:

At approximately 11:29 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of West Winnie Way regarding

the activation of a bait package containing a tracking device. Arcadia Police Department

Detectives deployed bait packages to combat the rise of mail thefts throughout the city. A 40-year-

old Hispanic male from El Monte was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.


Thursday, March 6:

At approximately 7:33 a.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Public Works, located at 11800

Goldring Road, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. The officer determined

unidentified suspects entered the secured area and stole numerous tools from the city vehicles.


Friday, March 7:

At approximately 3:05 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of West Las Flores

Avenue, regarding a residential burglary. Unknown suspects shattered a rear window, entered the

residence and ransacked all the bedrooms. The total loss was unknown at the time of this report.


Saturday, March 8:

At approximately 2:59 p.m., an officer responded to 24-Hour Fitness, located at 125 N. First Avenue, regarding a battery investigation. The victim reported that while he was playing basketball, he became involved in a verbal argument with another player. The argument resulted in the subject player physically assaulting the victim. The officer viewed security footage and confirmed that the victim was assaulted. The case is pending investigation, and the victim is desirous of prosecution.
