Arcadia’s first theater was a brick and stucco building located at 42-22 East Huntington Drive. It served the community for about twenty years and was destroyed by fire in 1941.
The city denied a permit to restore it, as many Arcadians deemed it an unsafe structure. The little shops in the front of the theater were permitted to remain and they are occupied today.
