Arcadia resident and actress Tammy Dahlstrom doesn’t mind getting abducted since it means a high-profile appearance on the CBS TV series “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior” this Wednesday, March 30.

The strawberry-blonde, blue-eyed Dahlstrom will also make a cameo appearance next month on Showtime’s “United States of Tara.”

The Arcadia High School graduate who also attended First Avenue Junior High School and Longley Way Elementary and went on to study at USC, is continuing in the footsteps of actors, actresses, and TV personalities who were born and/or lived in Arcadia such as action film star Jet Li, Lindsay Jalyn Price (“Lipstick Jungle”), Beverley Ann Mitchell (“7th Heaven”), Rena Sofer (“24”), Wil Wheation (“Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Stand By Me”), and game show host Wink Martindale.

In this week’s episode of “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior” called “Jane,” the red cell team of profilers races against the clock to save the latest victim (Dahlstrom) in a series of abductions of women.

Dahlstrom also starred in a hilarious recent episode of the FunnyOrDie comedy web series  “Etiquette Ninjas” called “Dicks on Facebook,” which earned Top Featured Video and Editor’s Pick. She is also working on her own web series.

Dahlstrom, whose resume includes appearances on other high-profile series such as “House M.D.,” “Monk,” “Pushing Daisies” (which filmed an episode here in Arcadia), “Las Vegas,” and others, got her start at age three when she appeared on a box of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes and starred in a commercial for the cereal. She has since appeared in more than 100 national and regional spots to date.
