East Meets West Parent Education Club Served the Homeless- Boy Scout Troop 359 volunteered the Servi

East Meets West Parent Education Club (EMWPEC) recently organized a service project, the Adopt-A-Meal program, and fed over 50 people at the Union Station Homeless Service Adult Center in Pasadena on Sunday evening, September 10.  Local students from the Boy Scout Troop 359 participated in this service project.  Prior to the service date, the scouts and EMWPEC family members planned the dinner menu and purchased all the food and ingredients at a local Costco Warehouse.  On September 10, they cooked and served the meal at the service center kitchen facility.   It was a rewarding experience for all the volunteers to interact with fellow citizens who are struggling with homelessness, joblessness and other issues.  The clients at the service center were very touched for having nutritious dinner served by many young people and families. The leader of the EMWPEC sent a message to the homeless people and encouraged them to get back to their normal lives.

EMWPEC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) parent organization. The mission of the club is to promote positive parenting with an emphasis on cultural diversity and community service for youth and train them to be future leaders.
