Fatal Traffic Collision February 21, 2021 @ 2337 hours

On February 21, 2021, at about 2337 hours, officers responded to the area of Las Tunas Drive and El Monte Avenue regarding a solo vehicle traffic Collison.

Based on the initial investigation, it appears the vehicle was traveling east on Las Tunas Drive in the area of El Monte Avenue. The vehicle left the roadway and struck two power poles and a flood control fence before coming to a rest. Officers found the driver of the vehicle deceased and two passengers with minor injuries. Both passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Arcadia Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is on scene and investigating. Southern California Edison is on scene working to repair the power poles.
