Fire Department Weekly Report - week of March 30 – April 5, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of March 30 – April 5, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this period:




Sunday, March 30


At 8:45 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106

responded to a report of a three-car traffic collision in the 700 block of West Camino Real Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found one patient and one of the vehicles had collided into a building following the accident. The patient received a full assessment including intravenous therapy, a trauma evaluation, and was transported to

USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.






Monday, March 31

At 10:07 a.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to the 100

block of East Huntington Drive for an agitated subject. Fire personnel arrived to find a 34-

year-old female suffering from a behavioral episode. The patient was evaluated and

transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Tuesday, April 1

At 2:55 p.m., Engine 107 and Engine 105 responded to the intersection of Colorado

Boulevard and Second Avenue for a reported outdoor fire. Fire personnel arrived to find

heavy black smoke and fire coming from a tunnel under Colorado Boulevard and

controlled this blaze utilizing two handlines for extinguishment. There were no reported

injuries.

Wednesday, April 2

At 1:23 p.m., Engine 105, Engine 107, Engine 41, Truck 105, Truck 101, Rescue

Ambulance 105, and Battalion 105 responded to the 400 block of Rolyn Place for a

commercial structure fire. Fire personnel arrived to find light smoke showing, but further

investigation revealed it was a wood burning sauna causing the smoke. There was no

fire, and all additional units were cancelled.

Thursday, April 3

At 2:37 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 12300 block of

Lower Azusa Avenue for a reported two-vehicle traffic accident. Fire personnel arrived to

find a 26-year-old male suffering from weakness. The patient received a 12-lead

electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose testing, and was transported to USC Arcadia

Hospital for further treatment.

Friday, April 4

At 2:48 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical assist in

the 400 block of Winnie Way. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated an 84-year-old male

suffering from hypoglycemia. The patient received a 12-lead EKG, blood glucose

monitoring, intravenous access, medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia

Hospital for further treatment.

Saturday, April 5

At 10:28 p.m., Truck 105, Engine 105, Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 105, Battalion

105, and units from Monrovia Fire Department and Sierra Madre Fire Department

responded to a structure fire in the 300 block of Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire

personnel found smoke and fire coming from the rear of the structure. Upon investigation,

fire personnel found storage in the parking lot burning and was extending into the storage

containers. The fire was aggressively extinguished and contained to the area of origin.
