The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week
of March 16 – 22, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this
period:

Sunday, March 16
At 1:45 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident in
the 100 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an 18-year-old
male with a complaint of knee pain while playing in a soccer game. The patient received
an electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy, pain medication, an air splint
immobilization, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Monday, March 17
At 10:09 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident
in the 1000 block of North First Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an 85-year-old
female complaining of cardiac dysrhythmia and hypotension. The patient received a
comprehensive medical assessment which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy,
and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Tuesday, March 18

At 12:20 a.m., Engine 105, Engine 106, Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and Battalion 105
responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a structure in the 100 block of Las Tunas Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found one vehicle involving two patients had gone through the front of a
business, with one requiring extrication. Both patients were transported to Huntington Hospital for further treatment.
Wednesday, March 19
At 12:23 p.m., Engine 106, Engine 107, and Battalion 105 responded to a reported garage
fire in the 1500 block of Old House Road in Pasadena. Upon arrival, Engine 107 assisted
with a well involved garage fire extending into the house and was assigned to Search and
Rescue by Pasadena Battalion 3. Engine 106 assisted with fire control and
extinguishment and was assigned to Division Alpha. Battalion 105 was assigned to
Divisions Charlie and Delta to coordinate resources and prevent further fire extension.

Thursday, March 20


At 5:50 a.m., Engine 106, Engine 41, Engine 37, Truck 105, Truck 32, Rescue Ambulance 106, Los Angeles County Engine 5, Battalion 10, and Battalion 105 responded to a reported house fire
in the 300 block of Old Ranch Road. Upon arrival, Engine 106
reported smoke showing from an unoccupied, under construction,
two-story, structure. Engine 106 and Engine 37 pulled a 1.75” hose
line to the front of the structure and initiated fire attack. Due to thesize of the structure and complexity of the incident, a second alarm
was requested. Battalion 105 arrived and established command of
the incident. Truck 105 was assigned to a ventilation group and to
coordinate operations with interior fire crews. Engine 105 was
assigned to Division 2 on the second floor of the structure to check
for extension of the fire. Engine 107 was assigned to rapid
intervention crew operations. Rescue Ambulance 105 was
assigned to a medical group and to assist with any support
functions. Los Angeles County Engine 5 was assigned to Division
Charlie of the structure and to assist with fire extinguishment. After
the fire was extinguished, fire investigators worked to determine the
cause and origin of the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
Friday, March 21
At 2:53 p.m., Engine 107 responded to a reported outside fire near the 210 Freeway in
Pasadena. Engine 107 pulled a hose line to assist with the extinguishment of a small
encampment fire under the freeway overpass at Michillinda Avenue. The fire was
successfully extinguished without any damage to the freeway infrastructure.
Saturday, March 22
At 6:52 p.m., Engine 106 and Truck 105 responded to a report of people trapped inside
an elevator in the 700 block of West Camino Real Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel
found a stalled elevator car with one occupant inside. Fire personnel gained access to
the elevator control room where the elevator system was unable to be reset electronically.
The elevator car was lowered by bleeding down the hydraulic fluid in the system, and the
person was able to exit safely without injury. The elevator car was placed out-of-service,
and the property management company was notified.
