FOOTHILL GOLD LINE INDUSTRY WORKSHOP FOR GLENDORA TO MONTCLAIR SEGMENT, WEDNESDAY, MAY 31

Foothill Gold Line Industry Workshop, taking place Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the city of Monrovia. The media is invited to attend this event, which will bring together elected and appointed officials, Construction Authority staff, small business experts and more than 200 small businesses and prime contractors to learn about the upcoming contracting opportunities, project status and timeline for the construction of the $1.37 billion Foothill Gold Line light rail project from Glendora to Montclair.

The 12.3-mile, six-station Glendora to Montclair segment is funded by Measure R and Measure M and will break ground on October 21, 2017. When completed, it will extend the Metro Gold Line light rail line east of Azusa to the cities of Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont and Montclair.

The Industry Workshop will feature presentations and speeches by Metro Board Chairman John Fasana, Construction Authority Board Chairman Doug Tessitor, Construction Authority chief executive, project and contracting officers and small business enterprises experts.
