The first monthly Carcadia @Route 66 in 2015 got off to a great start Sunday, Jan. 24, with more than 30 vehicles ranging from vintage delivery and mail trucks to a new Ferrari, a recent Shelby Cobra GT 350 and many classics and muscle cars from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
Carcadia @Route 66, created by Arcadia resident Glenn Oyoung’s Turn3 Creative and sponsored by the non-profit community events group Arcadia’s Best Foundation, is held every fourth Sunday of the month from 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. in the parking lot behind Denny’s restaurant off Santa Anita Avenue at Huntington Drive.
Owners of all cultures and ethnicities present their cars and enjoy coffee and breakfast at 15% off, courtesy of Denny’s restaurant and manager Ema Shulton, who allows Carcadia to be staged in the eatery’s parking lot. Photos below show just a few of the cars at the January event. Got a car or vehicle that you think is cool? Bring it to the next Carcadia @Route 66 on Feb. 28.
