“Fruit for Homeless”






Andre and Ashley Yeung , two students (also brother and sister) at Arcadia High School. They would like to reach out to the community for an initiative “Fruit for Homeless”;  They are launching to help the homeless community. According to Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, 2017 homeless count has soared to 58,790 people, a 23% increase from a year earlier. Homelessness jumped among veterans and young people.

The mission is to pick extra fruit from people’s backyard or collect already gathered fruit and deliver to Cory’s Kitchen in Irwindale. Cory’s Kitchen is a non-profit founded by Pastor Mario to help feed the homeless and the needy. They take any fruit any quantity and bring their own tools if needed.
