This photograph gives us the view of Huntington Drive looking west from First Avenue toward Santa Anita Avenue. We get a partial look at the impressive Arcadia City Hall, built in 1918 at a cost of $18,000. It was written, “… a most creditable public building which houses the city offices, Chamber of Commerce and library. There is a spacious hall which is used for all pubic gatherings and as a meeting place for the Women’s Club.” Community dances were held there regularly, and the fire and police services were housed in the building, as well.
