We heard from at least one resident this week about unusually late mail deliveries, so we reached out to our local Postmaster to inquire. Below is her response, which indicates that the unusually high level of election-related mailings are requiring additional efforts for the letter carriers.
Although we apologize for the lateness of delivery yesterday, we have been inundated with Political mail due to the upcoming election and our delivery times will be later than normal for the next few weeks. Please offer our apologies to Mr. Stanley Keith on our behalf, we did have 1 employee out until 9:10pm yesterday but assure him we are working with our staff to
avoid delivery past 8pm until the election is over.
