Retired Teachers to Hear Updates From Local Superintendents

Back at their regular location in Arcadia, the California Retired Teachers’ Association #71 (CalRTA #71) will welcome local superintendents to speak at their luncheon meeting Friday, February 8, at the Arcadia Senior Center (County Park), 405 South Santa Anita Avenue, Arcadia.  The center is next to the Lawn Bowling Greens, and ample parking is available.  The meeting will begin at 11:30 am.  For reservations, please call John Gera at (626) 286-0714 by February 1.  The cost of the luncheon for members and guests is $13. If paying at the door, the cost is $14.

On the program, local superintendents will update the Retired Teachers on innovations and activities in their school districts.  Speaking will be Dr. Denise Jaramillo, Alhambra USD; Dr. Edward Zuniga, El Monte Union H.S. District; Dr. Maribel Garcia, El Monte City SD; Mr. Alejandro Ruvalcabo, Rosemead SD;  and Lynn Bulgin, Valle Lindo USD.

Membership in the California Retired Teachers’ Association (CalRTA) is open to all retired educators, as well as to iocurrent educators and to any others interested in joining this active group.

CalRTA’s motto is “Your partner in pension protection.”
