Captain Daniel Crowther retired after thirty-three years of service with the Arcadia
Police Department. Dan started his career as a Police Cadet in June of 1991 before
being sworn in as a Police Officer in October of 1994. He worked various
administrative and collateral assignments to include the Field Training Officer
Program, S.W.A.T., Reserve Officer Coordinator, and the Detective Bureau. He was
promoted to the rank of Police Sergeant in August of 2010 where he held the rank
for the next ten years before promoting to the rank of Police Lieutenant in December
of 2020. His final promotion to the rank of Police Captain came in January of 2023.
With each rank he held, he served with honor and dignity where he remained true to
our organization, city, and profession. We celebrated his last day at work on Thursday, October 3rd.
Best wishes to him and his family!
