The Jasper Teague Estate

In the 1920s, on South Santa Anita Avenue was located the Jasper Teague estate. Jasper Newton Teague was known as the “Cauliflower King,’ but grew no cauliflower on his Arcadia estate, instead he had an extensive orange grove on the property. In the aerial photo, the Teague orange grove appears at the bottom, and the circular building was an art gallery.
