In the past few weeks, Public Works Services Department crews have been working hard on windstorm debris clean-up. The map below indicates which streets have been cleaned up by City crews and which streets still need to be
cleaned. While we would have likely finished the cleanup by now, we have had many issues with residents dragging limbs and debris into the streets to add to the piles, gardeners placing yard waste on streets that have already been cleaned, and other gimmicks that have added to the workloads. In some cases, streets have been cleaned as many as four times! Sadly, we have also had residents calling and cussing out City staff saying waste has not been picked up or that Waste Management is shirking their duties, when camera evidence shows otherwise.
Residents who still have debris in areas that have already been cleaned up by PWSD crews should contact Waste Management at (800) 266-7551 to schedule a bulky item pick up. Any streets that have not been serviced by the PWSD will be cleaned up within the next few days.
